Carols Daughter Hair Milk Review

Written by Samara on April 18, 2009

hairmilk_l****IMPORTANT*** - Note: I just discovered that this product contains beeswax. A no no for black hair. In fact all of  the Carols Daughter styling & moisturizing products contain beeswax. I no longer recommend this line for our hair type.

The review is finally here!

I haven’t been able to update the site because I was currently wearing single braids and I couldn’t try too many products in my hair until my braids were removed, but now that my braids are out I’m back in business and ready to deliver a review that my readers have been begging for: Carols Daughter Products!

I’ve been using this product on a daily basis ever since I took my braids out unless I want to wear my hair curly and this product is awesome! It has a nice fragrance and it isn’t too heavy or too light. My natural hair is well moisturized after using this product every night and when I wake up the following morning my hair is still just as soft and moisturized.

Carols Daughter’s Hair Milk contains no mineral oil, petroleum, or Paraben’s. It also doesn’t contain any drying protein either. I love this hair moisturizer and I wish I could’ve gotten a bigger bottle, but Sephora only sold the 4 oz. bottle for $12.

Carols Daughter Hair Milk is good for both natural and chemically treated hair. I also used the hair milk in my sister’s hair whom has a relaxer and it worked wonders for her hair as well. I do intend on trying more products created by Carols Daughter, so please keep checking back for more reviews in the future.

I’m glad it worked really well for you! To me this product was average ad I was a bit disappointed that there were some chemical ingredients toward the bottom. And the PRICE! GOOD GRIEF! Three dollars and ounce. Anyway, I really enjoyed reading your review!

  2. I think this product is ok. I’ve been using ebony of essence warm vanilla almond leave-in in conditioner and it’s perfect for my natural hair not too heavy yet very moisturizing. I think the products are only sold online http://www.ebonyofessence.com.
