CeXpress Product Review

Written by Samara on October 3, 2009

CeXpressHave you been to Walmart and seen a new product in the ethnic aisle known as CeXpress? This line consist of the CeXpress Soy Straightening System, CeXpress Shea Chemical Straightener, and the CeXpress Hair Butter, Smoothie, Milk, and Elixir. It reminded me of the Carols Daughter line from the packaging, but when I began to read the ingredients of each product in their line, I couldn’t even find one product in their line that was worthy of putting in my hair!

The CeXpress Hair Butter, Elixir, Milk, Smoothie, along with their other styling products all consist of the following main ingredients: petroleum, mineral oil, water.

What’s even worse is the so-called CeXpress Soy Straightening System. They pass this “chemical” texturizer off as some type of natural relaxer that softens and loosens the curl pattern. Sounds like another version of the Naturalaxer to me, but as we all know, nothing can permanently loosen the curl pattern without the use of chemicals and/or heat.

My conclusion, the CeXpress line is nothing more than dressed up Vaseline. This is just another line of products formulated for African American hair that is made with purely cheap and worthless ingredients dressed up in nice boxes and bottles to entice naive black women to purchase them, thus wasting their hard earned money and jeopardizing the health of their hair and scalp. As I always say, remember to read your labels first.

I really wished I saw this before I tried it and lost all my hair. Now I really must go natural.
