Written by Samara on August 12, 2008I have to apologize to everyone for the site being down for the last 2-3 months. I was in the process of moving because of some financial difficulties I was having. Everything is fine now and the site shouldn’t have to go offline anymore.
I hope I didn’t lose all my wonderful visitors and I hope to gain new ones. Grow Black Hair Online will always be here to educate black women on how to grow the hair long, strong and beautiful. This site will be here to educate you on the topics of hair breakage and how to stop breakage through proper conditioning and moisturization!

how long have you been transitioning to natural? I discovered your site about 3 months ago to learn how to take better care of my hair with it being relxed and recently discovered that if i ever wanted “true” healthy hair that I need to quit the relaxers!! my last perm was november 29th 2008 and I plan on doing the big chop in june 2009, after 6 months of new growth. I am very excited and cannot wait to finally see my real hair which has been hidden behind chemicals for the past 19 years.Good Luck to you and your natural journy i also have found some excellent sites for natural hair growth and support for sisters who want to transition but need support.
I completed my big chop in January to start the new year with about 1 1/2 inch of hair. Pretty hard to get used to after having long hair for so long, but having true healthy hair is well worth it!
