Infusium 23

I started using this leave in hair strengthener about a week ago so my hair can remain moisturized as well as strong while I am wearing single braids. I planned on wearing braids from time to time to aid in my hair growth and I needed to figure out a way to keep my hair well moisturized and strong while I wore them. This product was recommended for daily use when wearing single braids as well as using a braid sheen spray daily which is what I’ve been doing and my hair continues to feel soft and strong.

Infusium 23 has several products in their line that addresses certain hair needs, but I found that there were only 2 that would be most beneficial for black hair. Black hair needs moisture regardless if it’s chemically treated or not and if your hair is chemically treated it also needs a strengthener that can help reduce the amount of shedding and breakage.

Personally I think the Infusium 23 Moistur(ologie) Leave in Treatment is the best product for both natural and chemically treated hair because the lack of moisture is the leading cause for African American hair breakage, but Infusium also has a Repair(ologie) Leave in Treatment that focuses on breakage and split ends rather than moisture. I haven’t tried the Repair(ologie), but the Moistur(ologie) has been working well with keeping my hair moisturized while I am wearing braids because I am unable to apply my daily moisturizer until I take my single braids out.

If you are a braid wearer, then the Infusium 23 (Moistur)ologie will work wonders for your hair’s moisture level while your hair is braided if applied daily. This product is also great for everyday use for natural and relaxed styles as well. It contains everything black hair needs including water, oil, and humercants. It does not contain any mineral oil or petroleum with is an added bonus!

When I use this product my hair gets frizzy, and then I have to straighten it, which I don’t like doing. It’s like putting pure water on my hair. How much of this product do you recommend using as to not make my hair frizzy because I may be using too much?

This a great leave-in as well as a daily strengthner. Because this product is waterbased it will always make your hair frizzy. I recommend this product to use daily only if you are wearing braids as a daily moisturizing strengthner. Try only using it as a leave-in while your hair is still damp after you wash it instead.

    Hi unique,

I can’t really answer you question because I don’t know what you are doing to your hair or what problem you are having. I also do not prefer using the term “good hair” on my site as referring to the hair’s texture. I believe that healthy hair no matter the texture is good hair as opposed to damaged, unhealthy hair which is bad hair. Please be more specific about your concerns so I can answer you question properly.

Try spraying a small amount of the conditioner into your hands, rub your hands together and then distribute the solution evenly through your hair. This is what I do and I find that helps to prevent the frizz that you get if you spray the solution directly onto your hair. I hope this helps =]
