You can do this, but it won’t be as moisturizing for your hair if you included the glycerin because glycerin is a natural humecant. Don’t believe the hype about moisture loss due to using glycerin in low humidity. It WILL NOT draw the moisture out of your hair.

Yeah, I used the rest of the moisturizer (with the glycerin) and my hair really didn't like. I even tried less glycerin and it was horrible. My hair was frizzy, undefined, never really dried, and was a tangled mess by the time I was ready to rewash.

But, just using aloe vera with water and a little curly q milkshake was a mixture my hair seemed to do well with.

Also, could I add
Curl Souffle Organic Curl Cream – for MEDIUM density curls to the mix to combat the frizzy-ing effects of the water/ aloe vera. Or should I just use the souffle by itself.

Do you have any other suggestions for a good moisturizer?

I am worried about the glycerin and the low humidity/ dew point of where I live. Can I substitute the glycerin with just aloe vera juice and still have a good moisturizer.
I am trying to conserve money and if I just use kbb or one of the curls products by themselves I go through them too fast.
Any suggestions.

No I haven't as of late. I prefer to make my own butters. You can too and with great results. There are so many combinations you can try. Try melting some unrefined shea butter in the microwave. Then add some jojoba oil, coconut oil, and glycerin to the mixture and mix thoroughly. Next set the mixture in the freezer and check on it every 3-5 minutes, stirring it every time you check until it becomes a creamy consistency. The oils will make the butter smooth and creamy instead of stiff. You can also try this with other butters or by adding other ingredients to your liking such as mango, cocoa, and aloe vera butters. Goodluck!
