Thanks for this information - I'm always in search of "black hair appropriate" products (specifically those products for black women with kinky/nappy hair that's either natural or relaxed - it's very important to make that distinction)

One thing, though: I've heard that it is important or preferred that women with relaxed hair either sleep with a satin/silk head scarf or a like pillowcase; both of these options are not optional for me. I decided to do neither to see what would be the outcome.

I happen to be one of the women in full blown Menopause who cannot wear ANYthing on her head at night; if I do this, my head would be soaked with perspiration within a few minutes... I tried, (in privacy of my own home) doing what I see many younger black women do by walking along the streets wearing these scarves wrapped tightly around their head to "protect" their hair dos. Not to mention, wearing a head rag/scarf is simply just uncomfortable (for me)during the night.

My hair has suffered no negative affects by me simply sleeping with a regular pillow case - quite possibly, because my hair is quite short and prior to going to bed; I make certain to attend to it with the appropriate moisturers - and upon awakening, no hair on the pillow, and my hair is nicely lubricated.

Thank you.
