By the way, ORS adding a new type of moisturizer as apart of it's Hair Loss & Thinning line called the Hair Fertilizer. The ingredients look similar to the ORS Carrot Oil, I think I may try this.

Is it safe to perm my hair after having it braid on and off for 6 monhts? how long should I wait to have it permed? Please help

You can relax your hair as long as you've waited at least a week after you've taken your braids out.

Just follow the suggestions on this site to grow your hair long and beautiful. A natural hair care section is going to be added in the next few months. I've actually went totally natural coming into the new year and we can grow our hair together. I've been washing and conditioning my hair weekly. I moisturize it daily and I sleep with a satin bonnet on my head at night. I also massage my scalp every night to stimulate hair growth.

Good Day:
I have begun a relentless search for reputable info on growing my natural hair long; I've been wearing it cut very short, in a Ceasar, for years and years. It's now time for a change, and at 55 years of age, my hair is in it's natural form and I have no desire to ruin it; it is is good condition. I SIMPLY WANT IT TO GROW AS LONG AS POSSIBLE! I've always wanted to have long hair, but was told it just isn't genetically possible for me. My hair is lightweight nappy, and when cut down to the "quick" has waves. At this point, I simply want to look as attractive as possible with the option of having long hair for a change.

Thank you for your response.
